This class is geared toward medical, hospital, and academic librarians, but everyone is welcome. Expect to spend at least 4 hours working on this class. You can work at your own pace, but all class activities must be completed by the final due date.
Objectives:
- Develop an introductory understanding of key terms, concepts, and applications of human genetics
- Identify and describe the parts of the “central dogma of molecular biology” (i.e. DNA, transcription (i.e. mRNA), and translation (i.e. protein)
- Explain the anatomy of a “gene”
