NIEHS Makes its Mark on Environmental Justice in Region 6

The National Institue of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) has been busy in Region 6, specifically Chicago, IL, with a mobile app development that is helping to improve environmental public health. Research on this development was highlighted on a recent webinar hosted by NIEHS on the Partnerships for Environmental Public Health (PEPH) network.

EnviroReportTM is a user-friendly mobile app used by community members to report spcific GP-tagged places of environmental incidences in real time. These reports include descriptors, photos, and air monitor data uploads to the ChicAgo Center for Health and EnvironmenT (CACHET), where they are analysed and reported back to the communities, as well as Chicago's non-emergency resource (Chi311), and the Chicago Department of Public Health. A video, How to Use the EnviroReport App is available online.
