Linked Data


Linked Data addresses the issue of using the Web to connect related data and using the Web to lower the barriers to linking data currently linked using other methods. Linked data can be thought of as recommended best practice for exposing, sharing, and connecting pieces of data, information, and knowledge on the Semantic Web using the Unique Resource Identifiers (URIs) and the Resource Description Framework (RDF) (Taken from: The ultimate goal of linked data is to connect related data objects on the web to create a more semantic and connected network of information.
