Data Science & Sovereignty for Tribal College Librarians

Often the only libraries in rural, isolated communities, tribal college libraries offer critical services to a population with lower rates of broadband access and less access to medical care. Since 1990, the MSU Library has provided tribal college librarians with professional development through the Tribal College Librarians Institute (TCLI). To help tribal college librarians empower their constituents with access to health information and to help tribal communities steward data in accordance with their customs and culture, TCLI 2024 will feature professional training in data science and data sovereignty.
