FY23 Professional Development Award - James V. Brown Library

Survival Mindset Co., based in Altoona, PA, offers in depth training and practical hands on drills for preparing the average citizen for an armed intruder scenario. We have contacted this company to develop a training program addressing safety and reacting to violent situations suited specifically for libraries. Our goal is to foster a culture of readiness in public libraries throughout our region. The training will last 3 to 4 hours and will include role playing scenarios. The training will take place at the James V Brown Library in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The target audience will be library staff from 40 public libraries in the North Central Library District.
