ESLN Technology: Mobile Telepresence Education Platform

The shift to 100% virtual learning events during the pandemic taught us that as much as our members value getting together in person, online events allow for much more participation. The Northern NY Library Network’s region spans 11,000 square miles, making travel significant for some of our members with any in-person event. Going forward, we want the best of both worlds: we want to resume meeting up in person for training events to promote long-term relationship-building and collaboration, but we want events to remain accessible to remote attendees. The equipment purchased with grant funds will allow for high-quality hybrid setups to support professional development capable of reaching the entire North Country.
