2021 Primary Care Update”; Tandy Conference Center
The "Annual Primary Care Update" is a well-established update that provides physicians and other health professionals with an incredible opportunity to choose from over 20 CME sessions and workshops designed specifically for primary care practitioners serving a diverse patient population. This conference is attended by osteopathic physicians, fellows, residents, interns, medical students, and other health care professionals. Attendees examine the NN/LM Outreach Exhibit with the goal of providing this extremely valuable health information to their diverse user communities, medical practices, and personal lives. This NN/LM Outreach Exhibit will enhance this conference significantly by demonstrating intellectual curiosity, fully integrative exhibitor resources, and detailed health care information.
Included in this interactive educational NN/LM Outreach Exhibit:
Bibliographic Instruction and Multi-Media Presentation: I'll be demonstrating the NN/LM databases; PubMed; PMC; and MedlinePlus. This exhibit incorporates multimedia elements.
Collaboration: I always offer a guest book sign-in so that attendees feel welcome to share contact information for future events.
NN/LM Exhibit Banner and Table Runner: I promote the NN/LM databases via two additional service points: a table runner with the NLM logo and a scrolling silk banner with the NN/LM logos—both strategically placed in the exhibit area for all attendees to see and remember.
Additionally, the MedlinePlus Women's Health database; the MedlinePlus Men's Health database; the NIH's Beyond an Apple a Day Guide: Mobile Apps Web Portal (https://nnlm.gov/gmr/guides/beyond-apple-day-guide/mobile-apps); "NIH's Dr. Fauci on the COVID-19 Battle" (MedlinePlus Magazine Cover Story), and the NIH cookbook "Keep the Beat Recipes: Deliciously Healthy Family Meals" will be promoted at this educational exhibit.
