Sarah Fischer

Community Engagement and Outreach Strategist, Region 2

Sarah has been connecting communities with social, economic and health resources for over 20 years. She started as a Peace Corps small business advisor in rural Morocco. Upon returning to the USA, Sarah continued her community-based work in Denver as Resident Services Coordinator for Hope Communities. Most recently her work brought her to the greater Charleston area where she acted as Executive Director of a non-profit organization providing resources to senior citizens allowing them autonomy to remain at home.

Sarah received her BA from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds a MA in International and Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver. In her free time, she can be found exploring new neighborhoods, sampling regional and world culinary specialties, practicing hot yoga and traveling. Sarah is excited to be part of the RML team as the Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator for Region 2.
