Dental Health Access for Vulnerable Immigrants

The Health Access Program at Nationalities Service Center assists vulnerable refugee and immigrant clients to gain crucial knowledge for their health and to access needed healthcare services. Health Access staff will develop and implement an oral health curriculum for refugees and immigrants and translate necessary materials for implementation into several languages to further support the community. Translated materials will be submitted to the NLM site, HealthReach at the end of the project. In addition, caseworkers at Nationalities Service Center will receive training on the NLM resources MedlinePlus and HealthReach to increase their ability to access and provide high quality health information to those they serve. Caseworker trainings will be recorded and used for staff onboarding beyond the funding period.
