NLM Office Hours are an opportunity for people who use NLM products to interact with NLM staff. Each office hours session will begin with a brief product demonstration or news item, and the remainder of the session will be devoted to answering your questions.

Join us for the next National Library of Medicine (NLM) Office Hours on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 1pm Eastern Time.
This session will focus on the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS), a set of files and software available from the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) that brings together many biomedical vocabularies and standards for drugs, diseases, procedures, lab tests, medical devices, organisms, anatomy, genes, and more. The UMLS team will discuss the UMLS Metathesaurus data release files and the UMLS editing process before answering your questions.
This NLM Office Hours covers an overview of the modernization of the ClinicalTrials.gov Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS), including a mini-tutorial on how to register a trial using the modernized interface, PRS Beta. Following the demonstration, NLM product staff will be available to answer your questions.

This NLM Office Hours: MedlinePlus will include a brief presentation by Javier Chavez from the MedlinePlus team, focusing on Spanish language consumer health information in MedlinePlus en Español. Following the demonstration, MedlinePlus team members will be available to answer your questions.

Join us for a special NLM Office Hours Listening Session, focused on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and our users can work together to update the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) vocabulary.
NLM Office Hours are hosted by the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) and offer one credit of Medical Library Association (MLA) continuing education (CE). This session will include a brief presentation by Stacy Lathrop from NLM's National Center for Biotechnology Information who will be discussing the use of Bookshelf followed by a Q&A session with the Bookshelf team.

In a special NLM Office Hours co-hosted by the Massachusetts Health Sciences Library Network (MAHSLIN), Dan Cho from NLM’s Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) team will briefly describe how the Medical Subject Headings are developed and talk about the role of community input in MeSH development. Following this brief presentation, Elaine Alligood from MAHSLIN will moderate a Q&A and discussion about MeSH.
