2022 Wisconsin Health Literacy Summit
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, digital literacy skills have become a critical and immediate need by a broad spectrum of the population, but for those already at risk for low health literacy, the need is even more urgent. Individuals are asked to navigate increasingly complicated points of health care, treatment regimens, medication instructions, public health messaging and health insurance materials and processes. In spring 2022, Wisconsin Health Literacy (WHL) will directly address this need by presenting the 2022 Health Literacy Summit: Embracing Health Literacy in the New Normal: Digital Communications, Telehealth, Health Insurance and Health Equity. This Summit will feature national and international experts on these topics addressing how organizations can achieve improved health outcomes and patient safety, higher patient/member satisfaction, reduced readmissions, improved health equity, and better managed costs.
