NNLM Region 2 Professional Development Awards (Y1) $2,000

The purpose of the Professional Development Award is to strengthen the professional knowledge and experience of individual network members in data science or health information access/delivery and to build professional capacity in support of the goals of the NNLM.

Region 2 Health Information Outreach Award $20,000

The purpose of the Health Information Outreach Award is to provide support for projects that improve health information literacy and increase the ability of patients, family members, students and members of the public to find and use health information; or improve health professionals’ access to, awareness of, and skills for locating high-quality biomedical and health information.

The purpose of the Technology Improvement Project Award is to deliver technology improvement and health and digital equity to underserved communities impacted by the digital divide via technology funding and online resource training.

Region 2 Exhibit Award $2,000

The Exhibit Award provides funding for exhibits at state and/or local meetings of health professionals, information professionals and health consumers. It provides an opportunity to promote NLM products, Region 2 programs or Region 2 member libraries to target populations. Funding covers registration and booth fees, travel and per diems, communication costs, and equipment rental if needed and associated costs for the exhibit.

The purpose of the Disaster Preparedness and Recovery Award is to enable organization to address all phases of disaster management; including preparedness, mitigation, recovery, and response with the aid of information resources available from the National Library of Medicine and/or the NIH.
