Subaward Project
Collection Equity Award
The Cushing/Whitney Medical Library seeks funding to create a Graphic Medicine collection in support of the health science professions at Yale and Hill Regional Career High School, a New Haven Public School with a focus on the health sciences that is within .25 miles of the academic medical library and the hospital. Graphic Medicine collections provide medical libraries with the opportunity to reach a wide audience. This project expands that reach and provides access to materials that showcase patient and practitioner medical experiences in the hopes of inspiring students to enter the health professions. We will collect to amplify the voices and experiences of marginalized communities.
